Abstract: | Low knowledge about contraception cause EFA afraid to use contraception or show negative attitude against contraception. One of them is about MAL. This is happening because of knowledge has both positive and negative aspects which can affect shaping one's attitude. More positive aspects known then the attitude that is formed will get better, vice versa. Lactational Amenorrhea Method (MAL) is contraception who rely on giving breast milk (ASI). MAL users will encourage mom to continue to breastfeed exclusively. World Health Organization (WHO) already stated that the effectiveness of MAL contraception is 98% for mothers who are breastfeeding exclusively for 6 months postpartum. The research method is quantitative with a Cross Sectional Study approach. The research was conducted at At Puskesmas Hutaimbaru Padangsidimpuan of 65 breastfeeding mothers. The Data analysis used is Chi Square. The results of the research are: knowledge relationship with the selection of the MAL method so attitude, P-value (0.002 and 0.000), respectively. It was concluded there relationship between knowledge and attitude by selecting the method lactational amenorrhea in nursing mothers. Expected For information and addition mother's knowledge About Family Planning especially about the Lactational Amenorrhea Method so that it can increase positive outlook against family planning. |
