Abstract: The Canon of Medicine was the scientific human health principal book of Ibn Sina, arranged in 5 volumes. Ibn Sina compiled the Canon of Medicine 2 nd volume in the form of medical materials that describe the activity and efficacy, methods of use, properties and characteristics, as well as a description of 790 single medicinal ingredients derived from plants, animals, and other natural ingredients. One of activities mentioned was hair cosmetics. This study aims to explore the main secondary metabolite groups contained in plants that are efficacious as hair cosmetics. The research was conducted through library research on 32 plants described as having efficacy as hair cosmetics. From the results of exploration through selected journals, it has been found that these plants contain the main secondary metabolites such as terpenes, phenolic acids, flavonoids, fatty acids, tannins, alkaloids, saponins, quinones, and phenylethanoid glycosides. Plants with the main components in the form of terpenoids are 9 plants, phenolic acid is 5 plants, flavonoids, fatty acids, alkaloids, and tannins are 4 plants each, and quinone saponins and phenylethanoid glycosides are 1 plant each.
