dc.description.abstract | COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease-2019) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus which is highly contagious and affects the respiratory system. Covid-19 vaccination is one of the preventive measures to reduce transmission, where the vaccine type given to the public is determined by the government. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the type of COVID-19 vaccine and sociodemographic variables on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in Padang and Pariaman, Indonesia. The research was conducted by distributing the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire consisting of four domains and 26 questions online from July to September 2022. Vaccine types and sociodemographic data including gender, age, marital status, occupation, city of residence, educational background, and co-morbidities were also collected from the respondents. Respondents' answers were analyzed using the analysis of covariance method in SPSS 26. Of the 418 respondents who filled out the questionnaire completely, 242 (57.89%) and 81 (19.38%) respondents had good and very good HRQoL, respectively. There was no significant effect (p>0.05) of vaccine types on the four HRQoL domains. The HRQoL score was influenced by marital status, employment, and recent education (p<0.05). There is a significant effect (p<0.05) of marital status on all four HRQoL domains. The city of residence significantly affected the psychological, social, and environmental domains (p<0.05), while the occupation significantly affected (p<0.05) the psychological and environmental domains | en_US |
