Abstract: he increasing incidence of antibiotic resistance causes limited choice in antibiotic therapy, which has an impact on patient morbidity and mortality. To control antibiotic resistance, the Minister of Health Regulation (Permenkes) No. 8/2015 concerning the Antimicrobial Resistance Control Program (PPRA) in Hospitals was issued which is expected to increase the use of antibiotics both quantitatively and qualitatively. This literature review aims to determine the qualitative evaluation of the use of antibiotics and the obstacles that occur in the implementation of PPRA in several hospitals in Indonesia. The literature search method using Google Scholar with inclusion criteria using the Gyssen algorithm, is the main article, a reputable national article accredited by SINTA Ristekdikti with the publication year 2015-2022. Based on the results of the article selection, 25 articles were obtained to be studied. The results showed that 72% of the rationality of using antibiotics was still 60%. The low rationality of the use of antibiotics in several studies was caused by the implementation of PPRA that did not go well, so that intensive socialization and training were needed, as well as policies on the use of antibiotics in each hospital.
