dc.description.abstract | Interprofessional collaborative(IPC) is the strategy to deliver an integrated healthcare services. IPC practice can improve antibiotics prescribing and its use in the therapy, which impacts reducing antibiotic resistance. It is necessary to identify existing problems from healthcare professionals' perceptions involved in IPC for creating an effective IPC practice. This study aims to assess the perception of healthcare professionals regarding the practice of IPC in antibiotic therapy in the orthopedic surgery unit. This study is an observational study with a cross-sectional approach. Healthcare professionals' perceptions were assessed using a Collaborative Practice Assessment Tool (CPAT) questionnaire consisting of 8 domains with 53 items. The study involved 47 health workers. The results showed that there were significant differences in perceptions between nurses and pharmacists on the domain of team barriers in collaboration. In the domain of leadership, there were significant differences between pharmacists and doctors. This study concludes that healthcare professionals assess the practice of IPC has been going well (76,47% of maximum score on the CPAT). However, nurses assess their autonomy in IPC is still limited (52% of maximum score on the domain of barriers to team collaboration) and pharmacists assess the dominance of other health workers in the practice of IPC (72% of maximum score on the domain of leadership). | en_US |
