dc.description.abstract | sed on the Health Belief Model (HBM) theory. The questionnaire was developed based on a review of the literature and discussions with experts. The questionnaire consists of six dimensions to measure HBM: perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, self-efficacy, and cues to action. The study included 30 participants aged 60-79 years who had taken captopril or amlodipine in the previous three months. The validity test results showed that of the 45 question items in the questionnaire, eight items were invalid, and 37 others were demonstrated valid based on the Pearson Correlation value (> r table 0.361; p <0.05). Furthermore, each domain in 37 valid items were tested for reliability at a significance level of 0.05, and the results showed that each size had a Cronbach's Alpha value >0.7, with an overall score was 0.927, indicating that all domains in the questionnaire were reliable. To summarize, the HBM theory-based questionnaire is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing medication adherence in the elderly with hypertension. | en_US |
