Abstract: | Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015 showed that around 1.13 billion people in the world have hypertension, meaning that 1 in 3 people in the world is diagnosed with hypertension. From the data provided by the Ministry of Health, hypertension is the first rank of non-communicable diseases diagnosed in health facilities, with a number of cases reaching 185,857. (41.1%) The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in early adulthood in the working area of the Hulu Sihapas Puskesmas. This type of research is quantitative, with a cross sectional approach with a population of 1,378, and uses a sample of 93 respondents. The results of this study indicate there is a relationship between sex (p = value 0.011), smoking habits (p = value 0.013), and consuming alcohol (p = value 0.025), with the incidence of hypertension, and there is no relationship between hereditary history and hypertension (p = value 0.585), It is hoped that Respondents will be more diligent in checking their health into health service places such as Puskesmas and Hospitals to prevent hypertension. |
