Abstract: Malaria is still a health problem in Indonesia which leads to high morbidity and mortality. Factors that contribute to the emergence of malaria, one of which is knowledge. According to WHO (2013). In 2012 there were an estimated 207 million malaria cases worldwide and 627,000 malaria cases which caused death. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of knowledge to the incidence of malaria. This type of research uses a cross sectional design, using the chi sguare test. The population in this study was 45 people, and the sample of this study used a total sampling technique where the entire population of the sample was 45 people. The results showed that good knowledge was as many as 27 people (60%) and knowledge was lacking as many as 18 people (40%). Based on the results of the study it was concluded that there is a relationship between community knowledge of the incidence of malaria in the village of Sipolu-polu Mandailing Natal district with a P-value of knowledge = 0.002 It is recommended to the community to increase knowledge about the incidence of malaria.
