HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN TENTANG PERSONAL HYGIENE DENGAN KEJADIAN PENYAKIT KURAP (TINEA) PADA KELUARGA DI DESA SIMATOHIR TAHUN 2019

Abstract

Skin diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites and investment by an allergic reaction. In Indonesia the year 2015 shows that diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue being ranked third out of 10 most disease in outpatients in the hospital se-Indonesia. At Simatohir on 2018 there were 35 cases of ringworm disease. This research purposing is to know the relationship of knowledge about personal hygiene with occurrence of disease ringworm (Tinea) family at Simatohir in the Year 2019. This research uses the approach of cross sectional. The population of the research was the whole village community Simatohir as many as 157 KK. The sample numbered 112 KK obtained by using simple random sampling. Research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. By using chi square with a 95% significance level of α = 0.05. The research obtained the majority of knowledge about personal hygiene is at a category less as much as 72 people (64.3%), incidence of disease ringworm as many as 29 people (25.9%). The research results that there is a relationship between knowledge about personal hygiene with occurrence of disease ringworm with p value = 0,016 (< 0.05) Suggestions for the community improve the knowledge about personal hygiene so that the behavior of the public to keep clean themselves because of it is that should be applied to improve the health of themselves and their families.
