Abstract: | Type II diabetes mellitus is o degeneratìve disease that is closely related to diet. Urban lífestyles with eatìng habits that are high in fat, salt, and excessive sugar cause various diseases ìncludìng diabetes mellitus. In addition to eating haùìts, other factors in the prevalence of type II diabetes mellitus are ginetìc or here.ditary -faetors. The purpose of this study was to determine lh, ¡orto^ associatedwìth type Itr dìøbetes mellitus in Outpatient Clínic of Internal viedícine Padangsidìmpuan cír¡* Hospital ìn 2019. The research method used was descriptive analytic with cross sectional design. The population in this study were all patíents who cante for treatment in the Intirnal Medicine Ctínic of Padangsidimpuan Regional Hospitat in July 2019. The sampling technique was carried out randomly using the slovin formula, the number ofiamptes was s0 people. The analysís usecl wus univaríate and bivariate with the slafistîcal test used was the chi-squsre le,st at a 9soÁ con!ìdence levet (a : 0.0s). The results showed a signíJìcant relationship between age þ-value : 0.005 <0.05), physical activity (p-value : 0"001 <0.0s), eating habits þ-value : 0.003 <o.osi aia tne încidence type II diabetes mellitus. It is expected that Padangsidimpuan City Hospital to provide useful education for patients with type II diabetes who come for treatment at the Internal luÍedicine Clinic. |
