dc.description.abstractKnowledge of danger signs in pregnancy is very helpful in reducing the maternal mortality rate, because knowing the danger signs in pregnancy a pregnant woman will find a health service place faster so that the risks in pregnancy will be detected and treated early. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of providing information through leaflet media on increasing maternal knowledge about the danger signs of pregnancy in Sipirok Sub-district in 2017. The type of this research was the Separate sample pretest-posttest with Quasi Experiment research design with one group pretest posttest design. The study was conducted in Sipirok District in 2017. There is a population of 15 people. Which is taken by cluster sampling technique. The instrument of this research is a questionnaire. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the provision of information on increasing maternal knowledge about pregnancy hazard signs using leaflet media, the value of p = 0.012 at alpha (α) 5%. It is expected that respondents will increase their knowledge about the dangers of pregnancy by attending existing health counseling.en_US
