FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEPEMILIKAN JAMBAN SEHAT DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS HURABA KECAMATAN ANGKOLA TIMUR KABUPATEN TAPANULI SELATAN TAHUN 2018

Abstract

Disposal of human feces that do not meet sanitary requirements can cause soil pollution, supply of clean water, and trigger animal vector diseases, such as flies, rats or other insects to nest, breed and spread disease. The health profile data of Huraba Community Health Center (2016) shows that of the total population (1005 kk) there are 65 households that have healthy latrines or latrines that have septic tanks, and 103 households that have unhealthy latrines. Whereas 837 households do not have private latrines, but use unhealthy public (communal) latrines. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to latrine ownership in the working area of Huraba Community Health Center, Angkola Timur Subdistrict, South Tapanuli District, 2018. This research uses descriptive analytic research with cross sectional design. The population in this study were all housewives in Sijungkang Village, the sample in this study with a simple random sampling technique using a questionnaire. The statistical test analysis used is chi square. The results of this study are that there is a relationship of knowledge (0,002), education (0,000), income (0,000) and availability of clean water (0,013) with healthy latrine ownership, which is significant (Pvalue = 0,002 <α = 0.05), (Pvalue = 0,000 <α = 0.05), (Pvalue = 0.000<α = 0.05) and (Pvalue = 0,013<α = 0.05). The results of this study are expected to be able to add insight and knowledge in Public Health, especially environmental health programs such as factors related to the ownership of healthy latrines.
