Abstract: The World Health Organization (WHO) 40% of maternal deaths in developing countries are associated with anemia in pregnancy due to iron deficiency and acute bleeding, not even both. Overall, anemia occurs in 45% of women in developing countries and 13% in developed countries. While the percentage of pregnant women from poor families continues to increase with increasing gestational age. One prevention of anemia through iron and folic acid supplementation programs in pregnant women by carrying out the administration of iron tablets for free. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge of pregnant women with an attitude to prevent anemia in pregnant women. The research method is descriptive correlation with the cross sectional study design. The research design was conducted in Nagasaribu Village, Padang Bolak Subdistrict, North Padang Lawas Regency. The study sample was 31 people. The sampling technique uses "accidental sampling". Analysis of the data used is Spearman. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the knowledge of pregnant women and the attitude to prevent anemia in pregnant women p = 0.002 (p <0.05). It is recommended for pregnant women to take part in health education counseling or prevent anemia in pregnant women and those who want to take part in activities and maintain the health or distance of pregnancy so that they are stable and healthy
