PENGARUH MEDIA CETAK (LEAFLET)DENGAN PENGETAHUAN REMAJA PUTRI KELAS VIII TENTANG PENANGANAN DISMENOREA DI SMPN I PADANG BOLAK KECAMATAN PADANG BOLAK KABUPATEN PADANG LAWASN UTARA TAHUN 2018

Abstract

Dysmenorrhoea or menstrual pain is a frequent problem for women when entering the menstrual cycle. Basically menstrual pain is a common thing experienced by a woman. Although it is disturbing, not many women are looking for countermeasures and pay more attention to these complaints because they think menstrual pain is a common thing and can disappear over time. The incidence of dysmenorrhoea in Indonesia is 64.25% which consists of 54.89% primary dysmenorrhoea and 9.36 secondary dysmenorrhoea. This study aims to determine the relationship of print media (leaflets) to class VIII young women knowledge about dysmenorrhoea in Padang Bolak Junior High School I Padang Bolak Subdistrict, North Padang Lawas Regency in 2018. The type of research that will be used in this research is using pre experimental design method, with the type of pre test and post test one group design. The population in this study were female adolescents in class VIII as many as 65 people, in which 40 people experienced dysmenorrhoea and 25 people did not experience dysmenorrhoea. The sample in this study were female adolescents in class VIII who experienced dysmenorrhoea as many as 40 people. The results showed that there was an influence of print media (leafleat) on the knowledge of seventh grade girls about dysmenorrhoea with the results of the coefficient of Z of - 3.945 and Asym.Sig (p value) of 0.0000 with the value of Asym.Sig (p value) <0 , 05. It is recommended to the school to increase collaboration with health institutions such as the Puskesmas to increase the knowledge of young women about dysmenorrhoea and their treatment.
