Abortion (WHO) is the termination of pregnancy before the fetus is able to live outside the uterus. 4.9% of teenagers had an abortion at the age of 15-19 years. In Indonesia 15% ─ 50% of maternal deaths are caused by unsafe abortions, especially for most teenagers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age, education and information sources with the knowledge of adolescent girls about abortion in Sitamiang Village, South Padangsidimpuan Subdistrict, Padangsidimpuan City, 2018. The type of research was analytic with cross sectional design. The study population was young women with a sample of 124 people and simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed by ChiSquare test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between age (P = 0.021), education (P = 0.023) and sources of information (P = 0.001) with the knowledge of teenage girls about abortion. It is expected that the Respondents will be more pro-active in seeking various knowledge information from various other sources that can add insight to knowledge, such as from magazines, newspapers, internet, television, radio and others.en_US
