Abstract: Anemia in pregnant women at Sitinjak Health Center in Angkola Barat District, South Tapanuli Regency in 2018 was 44.4%. Anemia in pregnancy can cause death, abortion, congenital defects, LBW, as well as bleeding. Direct anemia can cause maternal morbidity and mortality and higher perinatal mortality. The aim of the study was to assess nutritional status and visit ante natal care with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Sitinjak Health Center, Angkola Barat District, South Tapanuli Regency. The type of research was a cross sectional study. The case populations in this study were all pregnant women who experienced anemia in July-August 2018. Sampling with total sampling technique was 45 respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire, measurement of LILA and Hb check, while the statistical test technique used the Fisher Exact Test. Statistical tests showed that the mother's nutritional status with the incidence of anemia had a relationship with the p-value was 0.000 (p <0.005). While the Antenatal Care (ANC) visited to the incidence of anemia had a relationship with the p-value of 0.009 (p <0.005). Efforts to prevent the incidence of anemia in pregnant women include coaching conditions, awareness of consumption of iron tablets and nutritious foods during pregnancy.
