Abstract

One ofthe maincauses of thehighmaternal mortality ratein Indonesiais bleeding,ie duringpregnancy, childbirthor inthepostpartumperiod.DoingIMD means to help reduce instances of bleeding after delivery. IMD national coverage was 34.5%. This study aims to find a significant relationship between Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD) with Post Partum Hemorrhage in Genesis Maternity Clinic Midwives Nurul Aida Batangtoru District of South Tapanuli 2016. This type of research is descriptive analytic research with cross sectional design. The population in this research is all mothers in the Post Partum Maternity Clinic Midwives Nurul Aida Batangtoru District of South Tapanuli RegencyYear2016.Samplingwasdonebytotalsampling.Datacollectedthrough secondary data partograf. Data analysis method by means of univariate and bivariateanalysis. The results showed the majority of birth mothers do Early Initiation of Breastfeeding(IMD)asmany as27people(84.4%), themajorityofwomendonot experience Genesis bersain Post Partum Haemorrhage as many as 28 people (87.5%) and Fisher's exact test p-value test value obtained for 0.008 less than 0.05. Suggested for health To stay Early Initiation of Breastfeeding promotes movement through various media such as posters or brochures so that people, especially the mother is always motivated to do the IMD. to banyinya be obtained manybenefits,oneofwhichistoreducetheincidenceofpostpartumhemorrhage.
