Abstract

The hospital is one of unit that produce medical and non medical waste fromthe resultsof activitiesinhospital.Mixing ofmedical and nonmedical waste willbeenlargetheproblemofhospitalwastemanagement. This research was descriptive study. The purpose of this research was to get the description of waste management system at Regional Public Hospital Padangsidimpuan based on implementation and condition of determinant factors such as human resource, facilities/ equipments, budgeting and regulation for wastemanagementatPadangsidimpuanDistrictPublicHospital. Transportation of waste done through the trajectory travered the visitor hospitalwithequipment thatwasless qualified totransportthe average volume of waste produced everyday as much as ± 0,905 m3. To for hospital waste final disposalwastethehospitalwascooperatingwiththeCleanliness To the regional Public Hospital Padangsidimpuan suggested for makes rules responsible and budgeting. The encourage and repair of facilities/ equipment at managing wste that suitable with the standart of environmental health assessment for hospital waste management can optimize thatperformanceofmanagingwasteRegionalPublicHospitalPadangsidimpuan.
