dc.description.abstractColostrum is a protective fluid that is rich in anti-infective agents and the highprotein out of the first day to the fourth or the seventh after giving birth. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitude of post partum mothersbygivingklostruminnewborns. This research method is correlation. Population in peneliatian are all mothers postpartum many as 46 people, with a total sample of 46 respondents, taken by accidental sampling, data collection is done with receipts interview questionnaire is then presented in the form of a frequency distribution table and crosstable. The results of this study showed p = 0.003 (p <0.05) means that there is a significantcorrelationbetween therespondents'knowledgebygivingcolostrumto the newborn, and obtained p = 1.000 (p <0.05) means that there is no significant relationshipbetweenattituderespondentswithgivingcolostrumtothenewborn. Suggested to health workers in health centers matinggi vegetables will hold socialization to all pregnant women in labor Wilaya matinggi vegetable health centers about the importance of colostrum to the newborn.en_US
