Abstract

One of the health problems that often arise in teens are caused by poor personal hygiene. One of the most emphasized for women who were menstruating is the maintenance of personal hygiene. One of the health problems that often ariseinteensarecausedbypoorpersonalhygiene The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of personal hygiene during menstruation in young women at SMP Negeri 4 City Padangsidimpuan year 2016. This study uses descriptive research. The population in this study SMP Negeri 4 Class VII Kota Padangsidimpuan many as 64 people using cluster sampling technique of data analysis using univariate analysis The results showed that knowledge about personal hygiene in adolescent girls are knowledgeable enough majority of a total of 36 (56.2%), Attitudes about personalhygiene inadolescentmajorityofthenegativeattitudeof40(62.5%)and personalhygienemeasuresBasedongirlsnotdoneby43(67.2%) Advice for young women need increased knowledge about personal hygiene duringmenstruationoftenreadhealtharticlesonreproductivehealthand actively pursue counseling related to adolescent reproductive health and advised to hire people to work together and enable the provision of information adolescent reproductive health, so that the behavior of young women in the treatmentofgenitalhygieneisgettingbetter.
