Abstract

Tuberculosisis an infectious disease thatis a global health problem and is the second cause of death after HIV. Tuberculosis is spread through the droplets that have been infected tuberculosis bacillus. Based on data obtained from the profile Padang Lawas District Health Office in 2015 found the number ofpeoplewithTBin2014asmanyas292cases. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the behavior, thetype offloorand ventilationofhouses withpulmonary TBdisease in the Village Market Sibuhuan Barumun Padang Lawas District of the Year 2016. Thisresearch uses amethod ofanalytic studiesusinga case-controldesign (casecontrol). The results showed that there is a correlation between knowledge, attitude, action, types of flooring and ventilation of houses with Tuberculosis disease,inwhichthestatisticaltestChi-Squaretestshowedthepvalue<α(0.05). It is hoped that the head of the health center to be more pro-active in providing promotion to the public about the dangers of pulmonary TB in order to implement measures preventing, and for people, especially the District Barumun to be able to have a good behavior in preventing the incidence of pulmonary TB, especiallyforpeoplewhohaveahousefloorandpoorventilation.
