Abstract

The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is still high at 207 / 100,000 live births. women die each year from complications of pregnancy and childbirth, one ofwhichcausedbecauseofthedelayinknowingthedangersignsofpregnancy. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship Characteristics And Knowledge Pregnant With Pregnancy Danger Signs. The research design was descriptive correlative, with a population and a sample of 30 people. Sampling was done by total sampling technique. The analysis used is chi-square testforageandSpearmantestforparityandknowledge. Based on the results obtained from 30 respondents the majority of pregnant women aged 21-30 years is 16 people (53.3%), the majority of women Hamill secundigravida that 16 (53.3%), and the majority of pregnant women are knowledgeable enough that 16 people ( 53.3%). From the statistical test result is known to be a significant relationship between age and pregnant women with danger signs of pregnancy with p = 0.456; a significant correlation between the parity of pregnant women with danger signs of pregnancy with p <0.001; a significantrelationshipbetweentheknowledgeofpregnantwomenwithp=0.026. Overall concluded their relations based on parity maternal characteristics and knowledge with danger signs of pregnancy in Bednin Village Midwife Clinic Siantar CA Sosorgadong District of Central Tapanuli. From the results of this study are expected to health care institutions to provide health education to pregnantwomenasearlyaspossibleaboutthedangersignsofpregnancy
