dc.description.abstractDysmenorrhea is a menstrual disorders that are often experienced by young women. Dysmenorrhea is characterized by lower abdominal pain and can be accompanied by other symptoms. The intensity of dysmenorrhea pain is felt different every teen. The treat ment using pharmacological and nonpharmacological can be done in adolescents experiencing dysmenorrhea to relieve the pain. Thepurpose ofthisstudy wasto determine the behavior ofyoung womenfacingdisminoreaatSMPN8Padangsidimpuan. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive design. The sampling technique is total sampling. The population in this study is a grade VIII SMP N 8 Padangsidimpuan, with the number of 30 students who had experienced dysmenorrhea.Methodsofdatacollectionusingquestionnaires. The results of this study illustrate the 15 female students (50%) have enough knowledge about disminorea, and 25 female students (83.3%) had a good attitude, then 21 students (70%) who do not behave. Based on these results the authors recommend that students who experience severe dysmenorrhea to perform checks on health professionals and increasing attention on reproductive healthissuesbyprovidingcounselingabouttotreatdysmenorrhea.en_US
