Abstract

MMR (Maternal Mortality Ratio) is the number of maternal deaths in 100,000 births. This figure reflects the obstetric risk faced by a mother when she was pregnant (Prawirohardjo, 2008). One measure used to assess whether the poor state of health servicesinacountryorregionisthematernalmortalityrate(maternalmortality). Toknow correlation Knowledge About Pregnancy NutritionWeight LossWith The rise in the Village District of Puncak Sorik Hutalombang Marapi Mandailing Natal Year 2016 type of research design is descriptive correlation. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the village Hutalombang District of Puncak SorikMarapiMandailingNatal. Thesamplesusedwereallpregnantwomenatthetimeoftheresearch carried outisby samplingtechnique totalsampling.Dataprocessingincludesediting,coding and entry size results obtained and when read the form of a frequency distribution table. The results of the 30 respondents the majority have less knowledge about 18 people (60%) of the 30 respondents the majority of the increase in weight is not normal as many as 18 people (60%), where knowledge of pregnant women have a verystrongrelationshiptoweightgain,thevalueofPis0.000(<0.05). It is expected that the respondents namely pregnant women to be more active in seeking information about nutrition or about the generally good health with health workers nearby or from other sources of information in order to obtain the correct information.
