Abstract

Contraception contraceptive implant is placed under the skin which is a contraceptive implant containing levonogetrel wrapped in capsules silastik silicon. In general, the main reason not to use a contraceptive implant that presented the most dominant female is infertile feel. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship with the mother's characteristic use of contraceptive implants in the sub-districtPuskesmasMalintangBukutMalintang2016. Theresearch objectivewastodetermine therelationshipcharacteristicuseof contraceptives to women with implants. This type of design research in the study population are all mothers who wear or do not wear hearing implant contraceptives in the sub-district Puskesmas Malintang Bukit Malintang. The samples are all over the mothers wear or not wear a contraceptive implant at the time of the research carried out is by total sampling technique where the data editing, coding and tabulation of the results of measurements obtained are presented in tabular form prekuensidistribution. This study was descriptive with cross sectional approach. Data analysis with Chi Square test with confidence tarap 0.05. The results of this study indicate the characteristics of respondents by age Taitu majority (53.3%), while the majority of Junior secondary education 31.7% of mothers work the majority of households (38.3%), themajority of resources from printmedia (53.3 %). Chisquare test results showthevalueandp=0.306forage,p=0.046p=0.487foreducationtoworkand p = 0.027 for resources, which mean no correlation characteristics based on educationandresourceswiththeuseofcontraceptiveimplant. Suggested to health workers to get more information about contraceptives to thepublic.
