dc.description.abstractHypertension in pregnancy is a serious complication of the second-third trimester, with clinical symptoms such as: edema, hypertension, protein Uriah, convulsions to coma with age above 20 weeks gestation, and can occur antepartum-intrapartum-pascapartus. This study aims to determine the factors associatedwithhypertensioninpregnantwomen. This research method is correlation. The population in this study are all mothers Post partum many as 32 people, with a sample size of 32 respondents, taken tottal sampling. Data was collected through interviews using a questionnaireandthenpresentedinafrequencydistributiontableandcrosstable. The results of this study indicate that factors that influence the incidence of hypertension is a history of hypertension p = 0.031 (p <0.05), obesity p = 0.005 (p <0.05), spacing pregnancies (parity) p = 0.005 (p <0, 05), and a family historyofp=0.000(p<0.05). It is suggested to pregnant women in Puskesmas Sipirok that regularly comes to health care facilities for checkups to know the danger signs during pregnancy, the health professionals at the health center Sipirok order to conduct socializationtoallpregnantwomeninPuskesmasSipirokabouttheimportanceof knowingthesignsanddangerswhichmayoccurduringpregnancy.en_US
