dc.description.abstractMaternal mortality is one of the targets set out in the millennium development goals (MDGs) which is the destination to-5, improving maternal health where the targets to be achieved by 2015 is to reduce by two thirds the rate of maternal death in childbirth with both indicators of process births are handled by trained medical personnel. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge workers birth attendants with puerperal infection prevention in Puskesmas Old Mountain North Padang Lawas District 2015. This type of research used in this research is descriptive correlation with cross-sectional approach that aims to understand the relationship between knowledge workers birth attendants with the implementation of puerperal infection prevention. The population in this study are all personnel birth attendant in Puskesmas Old Mountain North Padang Lawas District midwives as many as 32 people and shamans skilled birth up to 6 people. So that the total population of 38 people. The sample in this study as many as 38 people. The data obtained were then processed using the help of a computer and analyzed using univariate analysis that the data were analyzed descriptively know how knowledge and respondents. Results of research knowledge level personnel birth attendant in the working area health centers Old Mountain North Padang Lawas District 2015 of 38 respondents the majority are in good category as many as 19 people or 50%, rate of infection prevention puerperal relief workers labor in the work area health centers Old Mountain District Padang North Lawas 2015 of 38 respondents majority to prevent puerperal infection by 29 respondents or 76.31% and the level of knowledge of labor relations birth attendants with the implementation of puerperal infection prevention in Puskesmas Old Mountain North Padang Lawas District 2015, according to test results Chi- Square obtained result p-value of 0.157. From these results it can be concluded that the p-value> 0.05 thus the significance value p-value 0.157> 0.05, which means that Ho accepted and Ha rejected.
