HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP IBU DENGAN KEJADIAN MARASMUS PADA BALITA DI DESA SIBARUANG KECAMATAN SIABU TAHUN 2015

Abstract

Marasmus is a situation where a child has a deficiency of energy and protein. Generally this condition experienced by people who suffer from hunger. Marasmus type malnutrition is a state where provision is not sufficient or bad hygiene caused by a deficiency of carbohydrates This research is a quantitative analytical research with cross sectional approach. The research objective was to determine the relationship of mother's knowledge and attitude to the events in the village of marasmus in infants Sibaruang District of Siabu 2015. The number of samples examined a total of 33 people using questionnaires then processed manually and presented in tables of frequency distribution and percentage of mother's knowledge with the incidence of marasmus in terms of age, education, employment, social, economic, resources and relationships of knowledge and attitude of women with the disease marasmus in infants in the village of the District Sibaruang Siabu 2015 in getting the less knowledge. The results showed that the relation between knowledge and mother attitude with the majority of events are categorized marasmus less knowledgeable are 12 (36.4%) that need to be improved information to mothers about the incidence of marasmus in infants.
