dc.description.abstract | Cigarette Ads correlation, allowances and peers on smoking behavior of high school students are looking at the relationship of cigarette advertising, pocket money and peers with cigarette burns activity or activities undertaken high school students, then suck and blow out and can cause smoke that can be exploited by the people around him. This is a descriptive study, the design used in this study is cross-sectional approach to the correlation approach to determine the relationship of cigarette advertising, pocket money and peers on the smoking behavior of high school students. The population in this study were male students of SMAN 3 Padangsidimpuan class X and XI numbered 400 students, the sample in this study were 77 students. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of this study demonstrate knowledge of high school students in both categories 64 people (83.1%) and sufficient 13 (16.9%). Students' attitudes toward smoking behavior in both categories 10 persons (13.0%) and in the category of pretty 67 people (87.0%). Action of high school students in this study had action in both categories were 10 (13.0%) and in the category enough that 67 respondents (87.0%). As for tobacco advertising that in good categorize 14 people (18.2%) and pretty much as 63 respondents (81.8%). Allowance related to smoking behavior, namely 13 students (16.9%) in both categories and 64 students (83.1%) in the category of pretty and category peers on the smoking behavior of 19 respondents (24.7%) in both categories and 58 respondents (75.3% ) in the category enough. The results showed that the results of the chi square test P value obtained values> 0.05 means that there is no relationship between cigarette advertising, pocket money and peers with knowledge. chi-square statistical test results obtained value of P = 0.015 <0.05 means that there is a relationship between cigarette advertising with attitude, chi-square test results obtained value of P = 0.002 <0.05 means that there is a relationship between cigarette ad with action. Chi-square statistical test results obtained value of P = 0.001 <0.05 means that there is a relationship allowance with attitude, chi square statistical test results obtained value of P = 0.000 <0.05 means that there is a relationship between the allowance to the action. Chi-square test results obtained value of P = 0.000> 0.05 means that there is a relationship between peers with attitude, chi-square test results obtained value of P = 0.000 <0.05 means that there is a relationship of peers with action. The result of statistical test p = 0294 > 0.05 means that there is a relationship of cigarette advertising , pocket money and peers to act respondents with multivariate testing.
