PERSEPSI DAN TINDAKAN LANSIA TENTANG RHEUMATOID ARTRITIS DI POSYANDU LANSIA KELURAHAN LOSUNG WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PADANGMATINGGI KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN TAHUN 2015

Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis ( RA ) is an autoimmune disease characterized by chronic inflammatory processes, are systemic. This disease has a broad clinical manifestations, especially regarding several joints symmetrically, with extraarticular manifestations. The disease is also often causes damage to the joints, causing pain and joint deformity settled. The purpose of this study was to determine how the perceptions and actions of Rheumatoid Arthritis in the elderly Elderly IHC Lösung Village Puskesmas Padangmatinggi Padangsidimpuan City in 2015. This study used a qualitative approach that is defined as a procedure that generates the data descriptive research in the form of interviews either in the form of words written or spoken of those who are determined as an informant. Informants in this study were elderly who visit the elderly Posyandu as many as 5 people. Data collection techniques used in this study was the in-depth interviews (in-depth interviews), which conduct debriefing with informants and documentation study. Results of research and discussion that has been done can be concluded that the overall informants have the same perception of Rheumatoid Arthritis, and overall informants were able to do what action should be taken to prevent this Rheumatoid Arthritis. Based on the results of the study, expected to Puskesmas should have to carry out effective extension to add to the knowledge society, especially the elderly on Rheumatoid Arthritis or rheumatism so that the elderly avoid interference problems joint pain in order to achieve optimal health status.
