HUBUNGAN PERILAKU PEMAKAIAN ALAT PELINDUNG DIRI (APD) TERHADAP GEJALA KERACUNAN PESTISIDA PADA KELOMPOK TANI CEMPAKA DI DESA MANUNGGANG JULU KECAMATAN PADANGSIDIMPUANTENGGARA TAHUN 2015

Abstract

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is equipment that must be used when working in accordance workplace hazards and risks to maintain the safety of the workers themselves and the people around him. It is felt by farmers in Cempaka farmer groups that do not use the full PPE when doing the spraying. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship of the behavior of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) against symptoms of pesticide poisoning in farmers' groups Cempaka village Manunggang Julu District of Padangsidimpuan Southeast which includes which includes knowledge, attitude, action the use of personal protective equipment against the symptoms of intoxication caused in place work. The method used in this research is descriptive of the 25 farmers who are members of farmer groups Cempaka. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between knowledge, attitudes and actions of farmers on the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) against symptoms of pesticide poisoning. Where is the statistical test showed the value of knowledge, attitudes and actions have value P = 0.000. It is suggested to all parties involved in this study may make the results of this study as a reference for future research and can change people's behavior, especially in the use of personal protective equipment every use of pesticides to prevent symptoms of pesticide poisoning.
