dc.description.abstractIn addition to being known as a disease, hypertension is also a risk factor for heart disease, blood vessels, kidneys, stroke and diabetes mellitus. World Health Organization (2020) cases of hypertension show about 1.13 billion people in the world. Efforts are being made to overcome the problem of hypertension by providing non-pharmacological therapy that can reduce blood pressure, namely using dhikr therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dhikr therapy on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension in the Batunadua Health Center Work Area in 2021. The type of research used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest and posttest approach. The population in this study were hypertension patients from January to June 2021 in the Batunadua Health Center Work Area as many as 451 people, with a sample of 40 people using the purposive sampling method. The analysis used is the McNemar test. The results of the non-parametric statistical test, namely the McNemar test, showed that (p = 0.000), meaning that there was an effect of dhikr therapy on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Suggestions for respondents to be able to make dhikr therapy an alternative in overcoming the decrease in blood pressure in patients with hypertensionen_US
