HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DENGAN KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT ANTI HIPERTENSI PADA LANSIA HIPERTENSI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS BATUNADUA TAHUN 2022

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the disease with the highest prevalence.. One of the problems that often occurs was patient non-compliance in the treatment. Treatment non-adherence what can happen due to lack of patient knowledge in the treatment. If not handled properly then hypertension in the long term can be risky cause complications and death. This research aims to see whether or not relationship between knowledge hypertension sufferers with medication adherence in the working area of the Batunadua Public Health Center. This researcs was quantitative research with correlation research design and used a cross sectional approach. .The population in this study was the elderly with hypertension from January-March 2022 totaling 33 people. The sampling technique used in this study was a total sampling technique with the same number of samples as the population, namely 33 elderly hypertension. Test statistics in this study using the chi-square test. Statistic test results knowledge of hypertension sufferers with medication adherence obtained p value = 0.009 <α = 0.05 partially there is a knowledge relationship with medication adherence anti hypertension in the work area Batunadua Health Center. One's obedience not only influenced by knowledge but also influenced by other factors. Expected health workers at the Batunadua Health Center carry out monitoring and evaluate regularly to increase knowledge hypertension elderly so hope medication adherence antihypertensive can be increased
