Abstract: | The infant mortality rate (IMR) in Indonesia is still quite high. According to IDHS (2019) the IMR rate is 32 per 1000 live births. Therefore WHO and UNICEF strongly recommends breastfeeding for 6 months full. Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk that is given for 6 full months to children without the addition of any food or drink. Exclusive breastfeeding is a health behavior that can be influenced by many factors. This research method uses a cross sectional research study design. The sampling technique used was total sampling with the number of respondents being 65 mothers. Collecting data using a questionnaire. The results of this study showed that the husband's support factor (p=0.001), breast milk production (p=0.000) and maternal psychology (p=0.000) had a significant relationship with exclusive breastfeeding. It is recommended for husbands to support mothers in exclusive breastfeeding such as being friends with stories and complaints of wives so as to reduce feelings of worry and discomfort during breastfeeding. |
