Abstract: Giving MP-ASI too early at the age of less than 6 months is an indicator that the mother has failed to exclusively breastfeed, so that it has an impact on the health of the baby, including diarrheal diseases. This is because the baby's digestive system is not ready to accept food other than breast milk and can cause reactions in the baby's digestive system. Mother's knowledge that is still lacking on the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding is closely related to the provision of additional food for infants aged 0-6 months. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge and early complementary feeding for infants 0-6 months in Parjalihotan Pinangsori Village in 2021. The reason for choosing this location was due to the lack of mother's knowledge about the impact of early complementary feeding on infants 0-6 months. . This type of research uses quantitative research with a cross sectional research design. The population in this study were mothers who had babies 0-6 months as many as 33 people. The sampling technique used was the total sample. The results of the study using the Chi Square test obtained p = 0.000 (<0.05). it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge of complementary feeding with early complementary feeding in infants 0-6 months. It is recommended for mothers who have babies not to give MP-ASI too early because it can interfere with the growth and development process in babies.
