Abstract: | The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia in 2019 was 205 per 1,000 KH, 40% of maternal deaths in developing countries were related to anemia in pregnancy. The anemia rate in pregnant women in Indonesia is still quite high, the percentage of anemia in pregnant women in 2013 was 37.15% while in 2018 it had reached 48.9% so it can be concluded that over the last 5 years the problem of anemia in pregnant women has increased by 11. 8%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of pregnant women and the incidence of anemia in pregnancy at the Batang Bulu Health Center, Kec. South Barumun Kab. Padang Lawas in 2022. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. The population is all pregnant women who have their pregnancy checked at the Batang Bulu Health Center, Kec. South Barumun Kab. Padang Lawas for the last three months (October to December 2021) totaling 37 people. The sampling technique is accidental sampling. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and the incidence of anemia in pregnancy with p = 0.001 < = 0.05. It is recommended that pregnant women be more active in digging up information about anemia in pregnancy so that pregnant women are healthier and avoid anemia. Health workers to be more active in providing health education to the public regarding maternal health, especially about anemia in pregnancy. |
