Abstract: | The problem in Indonesia is the relatively high rate of population growth. The results of the Population Census in September 2020 recorded a population of 270.20 million people. Sterilization (tubectomy) is one of the most effective contraceptives. The effectiveness of the sterilization method reaches 98.85% if it is carried out in accordance with the standard operating procedures that have been set. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the selection of the tubectomy contraceptive method in Losung Village, Padangsidimpuan City in 2022. The type of research was analytic survey research with an analytical design with a cross sectional study approach. The population in this study were all active family planning participants in Losung village, totaling 398 people. The sample in this study was 83 couples of childbearing age who used active family planning taken by the Simple random sampling method. This study has analized by the Chi Square statistical test. The result of this study is that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge (p = 0.001), husband's support (p = 0.001), and the economic level (p = 0.004)with the Selectionof Tubectomy Contraceptive Methods in Mothers of Couples of Childbearing Agein Losung Village. Suggestions for health workers on duty in order to improve the quality of counseling about the benefits of the tubectomy contraceptive method. |
