GAMBARAN KARAKTERISTIK IBU MENYUSUI YANG MEMBERIKAN MPASI DINI PADA BAYI USIA 0-6 BULAN DI WILAYAH PUSKESMAS HUTARAJA

Abstract

Mother's Milk (ASI) is food the most perfect for babies up to 6 months old, because breast milk is enough contains all the nutrients baby needs. Average number exclusive breastfeeding in the new world around 50%, in Indonesia the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in infants 0-6 months still 37.3% and have not reached the national target of 80%.. The purpose of this research is to know The Description of Characteristics of Breastfeeding Mothers Who Gives Early MPASI In Infants Age 0-6 Months In Working Area Of Public Health Center Hutaraja. The type of research is quantitative with a descriptive design. The population in this study is all mothers who have babies 0-6 months which provides early complementary feeding in the Work Area of the Hutaraja Public Health Center as many as 48 people with the total sampling method. The analysis used is univariate test. The results of this study shows that the characteristics of respondents which provides early complementary feeding majority aged 20-35 years (62.5%). the Respondent's education which provides early complementary feeding the majority of SMA as many as 19 people (39.6)% Respondent's employment status which provides early complementary feeding the majority work as many as 27 people (56.3%) and Respondent parity which provides early complementary feeding the majority of primigravida as many as 21 people (43.8%). expected health workers to be more active in providing health education to society especially to mom who has a baby about exclusive breastfeeding and giving the right MP-ASI to babies.
