Abstract: Frequently encountered problems wrong habit what Indonesian mothers do in breastfeeding her baby, namely give breast milk which is white and thick liquid yellow or colostrum discarded because it is thought to cause stomach upset, therefore before mature milk (ASI) comes out, baby is given replacement food like sugar water and honey. Colostrum is the first fluid to be secreted by the mammary glands. The highest content in colostrum is antibodies ready to protect baby when the baby's condition still very weak. The purpose of this research is To know related factors with colostrum newborn baby in Siamporik Village South Angkola District South Tapanuli Regency in 2021. The type of research is correlation analytic with a cross sectional study design. The sample in this study is mothers who have babies 0-28 days in Siamporik Village South Angkola District South Tapanuli Regency in 2022 as many as 46 people. The Data collected give a questionnaire to the respondent. The Data analyzed univariate and bivariate by using the Chi Square test. The results of the study show that there is a parity relationship (p=0.004), knowledge (p=0.005) and family support (p=0.000) with colostrum in newborns. The Expected for mother who has a baby can increase knowledge about giving colostrum in newborns by following counseling from health workers to be able to give colostrum in order to improve baby quality and nutritional fulfillment and increase immunity in babies
