dc.description.abstractAnemia is a condition in which hemoglobin (Hb) levels in the blood are less than normal, based on age group, gender and pregnancy. Anemia in pregnancy causes hemoglobin levels below 11 g% in the first and third trimesters or hemoglobin levels <10.50 to 11.00 g/dl. Anemia is an important factor in pregnancy because it is associated with the incidence of morbidity or mortality in the mother and fetus. This study aims to determine the description. The research was conducted in the working area of Gunung Tua Health Center, North Padang Lawas Regency. The method in this research is descriptive. The population in this study were 55 pregnant women in the first trimester. The sample in this study was 55 using the total sampling technique. The results showed the results showed a good level of knowledge 18 people (32.7%), enough as many as 9 people (16.4%) and less knowledge as many as 28 people (50.9%). Suggestions It is hoped that pregnant women will recognize the danger signs of pregnancy early, especially in pregnant women such as anemia and know how to prevent it.en_US
