GAMBARAN KARAKTERISTIK DAN PENGETAHUAN IBU HAMIL TENTANG ANEMIA DI PUSKESMAS SIMPANG GAMBIR KABUPATEN MANDAILING NATAL

Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is a condition that is often experienced by pregnant women. Lack of consuming iron or low levels of iron in food, is a major factor causing anemia in pregnant women. World Health Organization (2019) The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women is 41.8%. The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics and knowledge of pregnant women about anemia at the Simpang Gambir Health Center, Mandailing Natal Regency in 2021. The type of research used was descriptive with a cross sectional study approach. The population is all pregnant women at the Simpang Gambir Health Center, Mandailing Natal Regency as many as 53 people. The number of samples of all pregnant women as many as 53 people, using the total sampling technique. The analysis used is univariate. The results of the analysis show the majority aged 26-35 years as many as 35 people (66.%), the majority of high school education as many as 25 people (47.2%), the majority working as many as 31 people (56.5%), the majority being multigravida as many as 33 people (62 ,3%). The level of knowledge of pregnant women about anemia was at the level of good knowledge as many as 13 people (24.5%), sufficient knowledge as many as 22 people (41.5%), lack of knowledge as many as 18 people (34.0%). It is expected for pregnant women to further increase knowledge about anemia and apply it in daily life so that mothers avoid anemia
