GAMBARAN KAREKTERISTIK DAN PERILAKU IBU HAMIL PENDERITA ANEMIA DI PUSKESMAS BATAHAN KECAMATAN BATAHAN KABUPATEN MANDAILING

Abstract

Iron deficiency in pregnant women is an important cause hehind the incidence of morbidity and morlality, namely maternal death during pregnancy and during childbirth or postpartum as a result oJ'pregnancy complications. The purpose of this study was ta determine the characteristics and behavior of pregnant women with anemia. The research method is quantitative with a descriptive research de,sign. The stuely w*as conducted at lhe Batahan Public Health Center on 40 pregnant wc,men. The results showed thst the majorigt of higher education levels high school were 36 people (90.0 %), the majority oJ"high economic status were 35 people (87.5 %4, the majority lvtowledge w*as good, nomely 21 people (60.0 %o), the majoriQ attitude was positive ie 3l people (77.5%), the majority perception is 38 people (95.0%r,) and the majority action is good, namely 31 people (85.0%ql. It is expectedfor pregnant women to recognize the danger signs o.f pregnancy early, especially in pregflant wotnen such as anemia and krnw how to prevent it.
