Abstract: The traditional medicine is one of culture that developed in the city-society as well as village-society. Although modern medicine has developed rapidly in Indonesia, one of the traditional post-partum treatments is still carried out, namely the marapi (grilled fire) method. This research is taken to know what the related factors with traditional treatment for post-partum of mother with marapi method (grilled fire) in Local Government Clinic Unit of Simarpinggang Kecamatan Angkola Selatan Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan in the Year 2021. The quantitative method with cross-sectional study approach is taken to conduct this research. This research is taken place in Local Government Clinic Unit of Simarpinggang Kecamatan Angkola Selatan Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan toward 32 mothers. The analysis data is gained from Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant relationship between knowledge and traditional medicine in postpartum mothers (P value = 0.002 < 0.05), there was a significant relationship between attitudes and traditional medicine in post partum mothers (P value = 0.001 < 0.05).,there is a significant relationship between family support and traditional medicine in postpartum mothers (P value = 0.002 < 0.05), there is a significant relationship between belief and traditional medicine in post partum mothers (P value = 0.002 < 0.05). The result of this research is suggested to the health-institution to give education and information for the mothers in gaining the treatment of health in post-partum period wisely
