dc.description.abstractVitamin A deficiency (VAC) can lower the immune system of toddlers and increase the risk of illness and death. Health problems related to nutrition due to lack of vitamin A intake obtained from food eaten daily. Data According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), as many as 190 million children under five around the world are deficient in vitamin A. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with giving vitamin A to children under five at the Langsat II Posyandu, Napa Village, South Angkola District in 2021. The type of research used is quantitative with a cross sectional study approach. The population in this study were all mothers with toddlers (6-59 months) who visited the Langsat II Posyandu, Napa Village, South Angkola District in June 2020 - June 2021 which had been examined as many as 103 toddlers, with a sample of some mothers who had toddlers who visited. 51 people to the Langsat II Posyandu, using the systemic random total sampling method. The analysis used is the Chi-square test. The results of the chi-square test showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and the administration of vitamin A to toddlers (p=0.007), there was a relationship between attitudes and the administration of vitamin A to toddlers (p=0.005), there was a relationship between the role of cadres and the administration of vitamin A to toddlers (p= 0.021), there was a relationship between active visits by toddlers and giving vitamin A to toddlers (p=0.018). Suggestions for mothers who have toddlers to always be active in Posyandu activities so that they can gain a lot of knowledge, by following counseling about the importance of giving vitamin A.en_US
