GAMBARAN PELAKSANAAN TINDAKAN ORAL HYGIENE PADA PASIEN STROKE DI RSUD KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN

Abstract

Stroke is a multifactorial disease with multiple causes with major clinical manifestations, and the leading cause of disability and death in developing countries. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of oral hygiene measures in stroke patients at Rsud Padangsidimpuan. This type of research is quantitative research. The research design used was descriptive with 40 respondents. This research was conducted at the Padangsidimpuan City Regional General Hospital. From the results of the frequency distribution of this study, it shows that out of 40 respondents, the majority of respondents in the management of oral hygiene measures, namely in the category of implemented by 23 people (57.5%) and the minority of management of oral hygiene measures with the category of not being implemented as many as 17 people (42.5%). Suggestions from this research are expected to respondents to perform oral hygiene measures according to Hospital SOP
