dc.description.abstractBreastfeeding the mother after delivery often encounter obstacles result of being late milk discharge or low milk production. Efforts to improve nutrition for breastfeeding mothers by providing nutrient rich food which can stimulate milk production namely papaya fruit stew. The purpose of this research to know the effect of papaya decoction to increase milk production. This research was conducted at Praktek Mandiri Bidan Nelly Harahap Panyanggar Kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Utara of 27 breastfeeding mothers. The Data analysis used is the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study shows the value of p-value = 0.001, (p <0.05). The conclusion is that there is an effect of papaya fruit stew to increase milk production to breastfeeding mothers in the Independent Practice of Praktek Mandiri Bidan Nelly Harahap Panyanggar Kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Utara 2021. Suggestions are welcome to breastfeeding mothers in order to improve understanding how to care for breasts and the benefits of consuming papaya fruit stew regularly so that milk production keep increasing so mother can exclusively breastfeed.en_US
