Delivery in health care facilities is one of the key elements in reducing maternal and newborn mortality. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with maternal behavior. The research method is quantitative with a Cross Sectional Study approach. The study was conducted in Huta Baru Siundol Village, Sosopan District, Padang Lawas Regency on 40 mothers who gave birth. Analysis of the data used is Chi Square. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge of 0.002 < 0.05, delivery costs 0.038 < 0.05, mileage 0.002 < 0.05, with birth attendants. It is concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge, delivery costs, distance traveled with birth attendants. It is hoped that an approach is needed in the placement of local midwives or other medical personnel so that they are easily accepted and utilized by the community.en_US
