dc.description.abstract | PROGRAM STUDY OF MIDWIFERY BACHELOR PROGRAM OF FACULTY OF HEALTH UNIVERSITA AUFA ROYHAN IN THE CITY OF PADANGSIDIMPUAN Research Report, 10 August 2020 Anesa Dharmas The Relationship between Knowledge and Socio-Culture with the Participation of Husbands to Become Family Planning Acceptors . Abstract The low level of contraception among men is exacerbated by the impression so far that the family planning program is only intended for women, so that men are more likely to be passive. Family is a social problem which means it is also a problem of men and women. This study used a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used the Slovin formula where the number of respondents was 63 people. The variables of this research are knowledge factors and sociocultural factors. The data were collected through distributing instruments in the form of questionnaires. The results showed that there was a relationship between partner knowledge and male participation in family planning with p value (0.048) <0.05. Socio-culture has a relationship with the husband's participation in family planning in Aek Gambir Village with a p-value (0.051) where the p-value is <0.05, which means that there is a socio-cultural relationship to the husband's participation as family planning acceptors. For further researchers, it can be as self-development in adding insight and valuable experience in the field of research. Based on other factors, different variables, the number of samples is more and the different places are more precise designs related to family planning contraception.
