One of the effective methods to increase baby weight is by using baby massage procedures and techniques. Baby massage is the oldest and most popular touch therapy known to man. Massage encompasses the arts of health care and medicine. The prevalence of underweight in 2018 was 19.6 percent, consisting of 5.7 percent malnutrition and 13.9 percent malnutrition. This study aims to determine the effect of infant massage on increasing baby weight in the Tobat Village, Padangsidimpuan City in 2020. The research method is a Quasi Experiment with One group pretest-posttest design. Samples were taken using total sampling. The number of samples was 17 pregnant women. Data analysis using Paired T Test. The research result is P = 0.004. In conclusion, there was an effect of infant massage on increasing baby weight in Tobat Village (p <0.05).
