Abstract: Research Report, August 2020 Ernawati The Relationship between Husband's Behavior and Support for Exclusive Breastfeeding in Infants in the Work Area of the Batang Pane II Community Health Center, Halongonan Timur District, Paluta Regency, 2020 ABSTR ACT Providing exclusive breast milk (ASI) is an effort to improve the nutritional status of children in the first 1000 days of birth. Babies who are exclusively breastfed can achieve optimal developmental growth and health. Exusive breastfeeding is strongly influenced by health behavior in the form of knowledge, actions, attitudes, including husband's support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between husband's behavior and support for exclusive breastfeeding for infants in the Work Area of the Batang Pane II Public Health Center, East Halongonan District, Paluta Regency in 2020. This type of research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional study approach design. The population in this study were all mothers who had babies aged ≤6 months in the Work Area of the Batang Pane II Public Health Center, Halongonan Timur District, Paluta Regency, as many as 90 people. The sample in this study were all mothers who had babies aged ≤6 months in the Work Area of the Batang Pane II Public Health Center, Halongonan Timur District, Paluta Regency, as many as 90 people using the total sampling method. The analysis used is the Chi Square test. The results of this study indicate that husband's behavior (p = 0.001), husband's knowledge (p = 0.000), husband's attitude (p = 0.003), husband's actions (p = 0.001) are related to support for exclusive breastfeeding. The conclusion is that husband's behavior is related to support for exclusive breastfeeding. Suggestions for husbands to pay more attention to support for exclusive breastfeeding.
